Mac.Rob provides the opportunity for every student in years 9 to 10 to study Musical Appreciation and Classroom Singing. Girls may take a more in-depth study and learn to play a musical instrument. The school music program is supported by the provision of instrumental music teachers, who teach students on an individual or small group basis.
Students can gain and enjoy musical experience through participation in ensembles such as the School Orchestra, String Orchestra, Stage Band, and many others. Choral groups include the Concert Choir and Chamber Voices. All of these groups perform in the school and frequently take part in concerts, eisteddfodau and other programs in the wider community.
