The I.T Committee at Mac.Rob gathers like-minded students who all share a love for information technology and encourages an active interest in technology and its constant developments. In our meetings we work to maintain the school website, fostering skills in diverse areas such as coding and digital photography. This year the I.T. Committee has three main projects: the creation of a new school website, introducing new Middle School I.T. Form Representatives and increasing student awareness of the school’s I.T. resources. Information technology does in fact hold many tools that can help enhance and improve students’ academic work, and we hope to help all students utilise the school’s resources effectively and efficiently.
This new website, from design to code, was entirely the work of the I.T. captains and we hope that it will open further interest and involvement from the school community. The new website is designed so that it will showcase more of the talents at Mac.Rob and at the same time introduce more of what we have to offer.
The new initiative of I.T. form representatives is aimed at honing skills and knowledge of what the school has to offer and using this to enhance everyone’s learning experience. As these students move through the school all of the experience and skills that they have been taught will be carried on into upper year levels.
