Inter-House Sports
The inter-house swimming and athletics carnival allow for every student to become involved in Mac.Rob's sporting program. We highly encourage all students to attend tryouts for such teams and to be prepared to attend training sessions if successful. Training sessions vary for each sport, and may be held before school, during lunchtimes or after school.
In addition to this, students may suggest other sporting competitions or programs in which they wish to be involved. This allows for the school to consider entering a team into these events. In the past, the volleyball, football and netball teams have entered competitions outside the SSV program. At times touch football and European handball teams have been established.
Adelaide Exchange
A major highlight of the sporting program is the Adelaide Exchange, which takes place in early August. This long-running exchange involves competition between students in a range of events, played at an interstate level. Teams are selected by the end of May, to allow for training well before the competition commences. In this exchange Mac.Rob competes with Adelaide High school for the Prefect's Cup.
