House Athletics Carnival 2025

The 2025 Mac.Rob House Athletics Carnival was a fantastic display of energy, effort, and school pride. Held at Lakeside Stadium, the day brought together students and staff in what was one of the most exciting events of the year.

The carnival began with the House Parade, where each house showed off their colours, costumes, and chants. There was a great atmosphere as students rallied together to represent their houses with creativity and enthusiasm. After much cheering and a strong show of spirit, Naiads took first place for their impressive presentation and house spirit.

From there, the track and field events got underway. Students participated in a wide range of events including sprints, distance races, high jump, long jump, discus, and shot put. Whether competing for points or just giving it a go, students showed resilience, determination, and great sportsmanship across the board.

One of the most highlighted events was the Fastest 100m Race, which saw the school’s quickest sprinters go head-to-head in front of a roaring crowd. After a close race, Athanasia Patroungas crossed the line first (13.56), earning the title of Mac.Rob’s fastest athlete for 2025.

The day also included novelty events, which allowed everyone to get involved, regardless of athletic ability. These events added fun and laughter to the carnival, and it was great to see so many students taking part and supporting one another.

We also celebrated some outstanding individual achievements, with the 2025 Age Group Champions announced as follows:

 14 Years: Chelsea R
15 Years: Weylen T
16 Years: Tricia S
17 Years: Athanasia P
18 Years: Ellen H

Throughout the day, every event counted towards the overall house scores. It was a close competition right up until the final relays, but in the end, Nereids was named the 2025 House Athletics Champions.

A big thank you goes out to all the staff, student leaders, and volunteers who made the day run so smoothly, as well as to all the students who participated, supported their mates, and helped create such a positive and inclusive environment.

The House Athletics Carnival continues to be an important part of Mac.Rob, and this year was no exception. It was a great reminder of the strength of our community, the value of participation, and the power of school spirit.

Well done to everyone involved!
