Sports at Mac.Rob | Term 3 Update.

Student Successes in Sports.

Sport continues to thrive at Mac.Rob. Each day we see many students enjoying lunchtime sports in the Gym, which is a great step in supporting their well-being and learning. In addition to this, our interschool sports teams continue to achieve amazing success. Earlier this Term, five students represented Mac.Rob at the State Cross Country Championships. We commend Ellen, Thea, Diti, Nicole, and Tasneem on their phenomenal efforts, all running the three kilometre course within 15 minutes.

We also congratulate our Intermediate Badminton, Senior Badminton and Senior Table Tennis teams who all played as runners up in the State Championships. These results are representative of ongoing dedication to training and teamwork.

Our Senior Badminton team was also awarded the Spirit of Sport award reflecting their great sportsmanship; a great demonstration of our school values, too. We look forward to more sporting events this Term, including the annual Prefect’s Cup, where Mac.Rob will host Adelaide High School from August 17th to 20th.

Table Tennis Team.

On July 29th, Mac.Rob’s Senior Table Tennis Team made their way to the Greater Dandenong Table Tennis Association to compete in the Regional competition.

After narrowly missing out on progressing last year, the team was determined to redeem themselves. This year the competition was just as fierce, but with the power of teamwork, Mac.Rob claimed first place! We all played to the best of our abilities and stayed composed under pressure. We even made friends with the other schools and overall had an extremely enjoyable time.

We now look forward to competing at States, held on August 13th, and hope to keep up the winning momentum!
