Education Perfect Vic Language Competition.
From July 28th to August 3rd, the Education Perfect Vic Language Competition was held throughout Victoria. This competition provided school students with the opportunity to consolidate their learning, as well as learn more about the language and vocabulary of many different languages. Within the competition, students gained points, which could accumulate towards certificates.
This event was engaging as we had plenty of friendly competition between friends, which further encouraged us to complete more questions to regain our lead. The competition was also a fun incentive to keep up-to-date and practice our vocabulary for the weekly quizzes, making us more confident and prepared for them. It was also a good opportunity to learn about different languages, as the competition provided the opportunity to practise and learn many different languages, with all of us engaging with languages other than what we were doing at school, Japanese.
Finding time to balance both this opportunity and our school work was somewhat troubling, but it eventually helped us recognise the importance of time management. Some of us spent very minimal time, only engaging sparsely through the week, while others focal point was the competition. It also provided some of us with a fun and educational activity to pass time on the journey to and from school.
Overall, this competition was a valuable experience, which we were able to use to not only build on our language skills, but to also help us with our time management and give us an enjoyable time as we competed against our friends in some friendly competition.
