International Women’s Day Breakfast 2024
On Friday, March 1st, Mac.Rob celebrated International Women’s Day with our annual IWD breakfast, a week before the official day. The theme for this breakfast was “Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.” In accordance with the United Nations' theme for the day.
We were extremely lucky to be joined by 3 of our wonderful alumni: Queenie Chow, Anne Kuleshova, and Eva Zileli, who all have careers in finance.
We began with a presentation from Ms Chow, and this was followed by a panel of all 3 speakers, which was run by our school captains and SRC co-presidents, who all did a wonderful job hosting and asking questions.
The speakers were all able to share some important insights into the difficulties that women face in regards to finances, and provide advice to all the women listening, about how to avoid facing them. All of this was extremely relevant to all young women and men, which is just part of the reason the breakfast was such an amazing experience.
As it was a breakfast, we were also served some delicious food and drinks.
If you didn't get a chance to attend the breakfast this year, we would definitely recommend coming next year, where we're sure the food and guest speakers will be just as great as they were this year.
