Pallas Magazine | May Update.
On Monday, May 18th, all members of the Pallas team - Committee, Journalists, and Photographers - came together to present a landmark event in the portfolio’s calendar: the launch of the 2026 magazine, and the unveiling of its theme!
Pallas is Mac.Rob’s official annual publication, curated and assembled by Mac.Rob students. First published in 1928, Pallas documents the events, activities, and successes of our students. Its pages are filled with student artworks and photographers; segments of student writing; reports of competitions held at every level of skill. Each edition is unique, and reflects the values, aesthetics, and interests of that years’ leaders and committee.
In 2026, Pallas will reflect the school value of compassion. In the words of Mingxuan and Isabella, the 2026 Pallas Leaders:
“Compassion is a powerful bridger of different, unique experiences and perspectives. Rather than isolation or distance, Pallas in 2026 will honour the countless small moments of compassion that define our school community – a listening ear, a helping hand, words of encouragement, or simply showing up for someone. Likewise, it will be a testament to the students of Mac.Rob who lift each other up, who choose kindness everyday, and who understand that true strength lies in caring deeply — for themselves, for each other, and for the world beyond!”
Aesthetically, the magazine is inspired by the concept of “Letters From Us to You”, and will reflect the bespoke, hand-crafted texture, feeling, and emotion of receiving a personal letter from a friend or loved one. Pallas magazine is a Mac.Rob institution, and a window into the world of generations of Mac.Robbians. Each issue is an opportunity for every Mac.Rob student to make their mark on our school’s history, and share something of themselves with the Mac.Robbians of the future.
Students were invited to experience this activity first hand during the launch party, by writing an anonymous letter to another student on special stationary. These letters - along with more written throughout the rest of the year - will be included in each edition of Pallas 2026, and form a unique memento of this particular moment in time that students can cherish for years to come.
