School Captain Update | June, 2026.
Hello to our Mac.Rob community! It always seems to surprise us how quick the Term goes by, because here we are at the end of Term 2! Term 2 started with a bang and it has certainly ended with one too. The school grounds were buzzing as the Connect FAM hosted their Term 2 event in Week 8, The Whole School Amazing Race. A big thank you and well done to the Connect and Middle School Captains for their hard work in making this event a massive success.
Earlier in the term, we hosted our annual Portrait Gallery Induction (Week 4) that celebrated past Mac.Rob students hosted by us, Leah and Mia (SRC Co-Presidents). The Portrait Gallery is the annual celebration of past Mac.Robbains who have had success in their field, who are memorialised with a portrait of themselves in the Kingsway Hallway. It was a truly inspiring night, filled with stories, gratitude, and celebration. We would like to say a big thank you to the Mac.Rob Foundation and the Palladians Association in facilitating such a wonderful night. To all of you reading, we will hopefully get to see many of you up on that wall someday.
We end the Term with House Drama, our second last House event for the 2026 school year. The House Drama teams have been putting a tremendous amount of work into the production and we cannot wait for the afternoon of entertainment that awaits us. A massive ‘chookas’ to all houses and may the best house win (hopefully it’s Oreads!).
We hope that you take these holidays to rest, recharge, and rejuvenate. Please find the time to do the things you love, with the people you love. Catch up on some well deserved sleep-ins, space out your holiday homework so it’s not crammed in on the last day (it’s not fun, trust us we’ve been there), and just take two weeks staying warm and resetting for the final half of the school year. To the Year 12’s especially, get ready for your final full Term of school, it’s going to be a big and beautiful one!
