Your Parent Contributions In Action.

Thank You for Your Voluntary Parent Contributions.

Here are just some of the learning, wellbeing, leadership and co-curricular opportunities supported by parent contributions during Semester 1.

________________

We sincerely thank our parents and carers for their voluntary Parent Payments contributions.

These contributions play an important role in enriching the educational experience of our students by supporting opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Throughout Semester 1, parent contributions have helped fund curriculum enrichment activities, student leadership programs, co-curricular opportunities, wellbeing initiatives, interschool sport, music programs and whole-school events.

Below is a snapshot of some of the ways these contributions have supported learning, wellbeing and student engagement during the first half of 2026.

____

Learning Beyond the Classroom.

Parent Contributions help provide students with opportunities to extend their learning through excursions, camps, competitions and curriculum enrichment activities.

Throughout Semester 1, students participated in a wide range of learning experiences including the Year 9 Camp, NGV excursions, Holocaust Education programs, theatre performances and subject-based competitions such as the Geography Competition, History Competition and Big Science Competition. These opportunities allowed students to apply classroom learning in real-world contexts, develop critical thinking skills and engage more deeply with their studies.

The introduction of Learner Model-aligned Interim Reports also supported students to reflect on their learning behaviours, recognise their strengths and identify areas for growth. Together, these experiences help students become confident, capable and reflective learners.

____

Student Voice, Leadership and Community.

Parent Contributions help support programs that empower students to lead, collaborate and make meaningful contributions to the school community.

Throughout Semester 1, the Student Representative Council (SRC) organised a range of student-led initiatives including Holi Festival, Galentine's Day and SRC Week. Activities such as the multicultural parade, talent show, trivia, scavenger hunt, talent show and wellbeing expo provided opportunities for students to celebrate diversity, strengthen connections and develop leadership skills.

Students also participated in Model United Nations, debating and public speaking competitions, where they developed confidence, critical thinking and communication skills while engaging with local, national and global issues.

Mac.Rob's strong community partnerships continued to provide valuable opportunities for students to connect with industry, tertiary institutions, alumni and community organisations. These experiences broaden students' perspectives, support future pathway exploration and strengthen connections beyond the classroom.

____

Sport, House and Wellbeing.

Parent Contributions help support programs that promote physical activity, participation, connection and student wellbeing.

Throughout Semester 1, students participated in a range of House events including House Swimming, Lap of the Lake, House Music and House Athletics. These much-loved traditions encourage school spirit, teamwork and participation while bringing students together across year levels.

Students also proudly represented Mac.Rob in interschool sport, competing across a variety of sports including swimming, diving, netball, AFL and softball. Through these experiences students developed resilience, sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership while creating lasting memories and friendships.

Student wellbeing remained a key priority throughout the semester. Parent Contributions supported a range of wellbeing initiatives for students and families, including parent seminars, wellbeing programs and resources designed to strengthen resilience, mental health awareness and family connection.

____

The Arts and Music.

Parent Contributions help provide students with opportunities to explore their creativity, develop performance skills and participate in a vibrant arts culture.

HouseMusic once again showcased the extraordinary talent, creativity and collaboration of our students, while fostering House pride and community spirit. Students also performed in a range of musical events throughout the semester, including the Autumn Concert and the combined Jazz Concert with Melbourne High School. The Combined Play has been in full swing with cast and crew selected and regularly rehearsing.

These experiences enable students to develop confidence, teamwork and artistic excellence while sharing their talents with the broader school community.

____

Careers and Future Pathways.

Parent Contributions help support programs that assist students to explore future study, career and leadership opportunities.

Throughout Semester 1, students participated in a range of careers initiatives including the Careers & Pathways Expo, MorrisbyCareerInsights, pathway information sessions and industry engagement opportunities. Students were able to connect with tertiary providers, employers, alumni and professionals from a variety of fields, helping them make informed decisions about their future pathways at the Careers & Pathways Expo.

These experiences provide valuable insights into the opportunities available beyond school and support students to navigate their future with confidence.

____

Supporting Student Success.

Parent Contributions also support the professional learning and development of staff, helping ensure students benefit from high-quality teaching and learning experiences. Through professional learning opportunities, curriculum development initiatives and ongoing investment in educational programs, staff continue to enhance classroom practice and support positive outcomes for all students.

____

Thank You.

These highlights represent just a snapshot of the many opportunities and experiences made possible through the support of our parent community. We are incredibly grateful for your ongoing contributions, which help us provide enriching learning experiences, vibrant co-curricular programs and strong wellbeing support for all students.

Thank you for partnering with us to support the growth, learning and success of every Mac.Robbian.
